Understanding the Sabino coat

The Sabino coat: Fuzzy-edged white patches, often on legs and belly, with roaning.

Horse coat colors depend on genetics, but also on visible traits such as mane color, lower legs, skin tone, and the presence of markings or patterns. The same coat color can therefore vary from one individual to another.

Family: White spotting

Basic genetics: Often produces soft-edged white markings, high stockings, belly white and roaning.
